A proper steel amp needs to deliver power when the player asks for it, and guitar amps are designed to fight back. The natural compression that the power supply of a guitar amp creates – while great for guitar – is not ideal for the steel. The Milkman 85W Pedal Steel Amplifier has an overbuilt tube power supply coupled to a preamp circuit and reverb circuit designed exclusively for the steel guitar.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe Pedal Steel Amplifier comes standard with a 15\" Telonics Neo magnet speaker. Dave at Telonics has captured the JBL K-130 sound in a high quality 7lb speaker. The midrange is right were it needs to be, and the knobs are very usable including the taper of the volume knob.
